About Lil' LJ

A Lil' About Me

Lil' LJ was inspired by my own family's personal struggle with infertility. Long before our lil’ ones came our way, my husband nicknamed our future lil’ one Little Loree Junior (Lil' LJ). We want the world to know that these lil’ ones were definitely "Worth the Wait" and are "Answered Prayers". As a designer, I can't help but want to get these messages across with the style that our precious lil' ones deserve!

The whole idea got started by me designing a few cute shirts for friends and family. I then realized there was a want and a need (and my own desire) to design baby clothes so proud new parents could let everyone know that their child was “the Product of Hope and a Prayer” or a “Miracle”. After seeing the interest these items generated for others going through my same struggle, I felt inspired to keep it going. My designs branched out into the Lil' Series that features adorable nicknames that you might call your lil' one. Now with these two lil’ girls in our lives, expect many new adorable designs targeted towards multiples.

My goal is to spread awareness while creating positive messages in a cute and trendy way. I truly enjoy creating each and every design and find inspiration all around me - the possibilities are endless… so please keep checking the site for my latest creations!

A Lil' About Infertility

According to Resolve*, “Today there is a 1 in 8 chance you either know someone with infertility or you are experiencing the challenges of infertility yourself. Infertility can be a major life crisis. The infertility experience involves many hidden losses for individuals, their loved ones, and society as a whole.”

Knowledge is power. If you are experiencing infertility, seek out as much information as you can. The resolve website is a wealth of knowledge for those going through it and provides support and information for their friends and family.

A Lil' About Endometriosis

Endometriosis was a key player in my infertility. “Endometriosis is a painful reproductive and immunological disease affecting more than 7 million women and teens in North America alone, with nearly 80 million more worldwide.*” It is estimated that 30-40% of women with endometriosis may have difficulties in becoming pregnant. Right now, the only way to truly diagnosis Endometriosis is through surgery (laparoscopy). It’s my hope that through more awareness, there will eventually be an easier way to diagnosis and treat this disease.

A Lil' in Closing

I firmly feel that through awareness comes better understanding, better treatment plans and some day a cure. For all of you that are struggling, know there are others going through the same thing. And even if you haven’t been touched by infertility, I hope you enjoy my designs and the thought and care that has gone into creating them.

Wishing the best to you and your precious Lil’ Ones,
Loree
